1999
The Soprano family, whose Italian ancestors originated in Avellino, boasts important contacts with the New York gangs and maintains business relations with the Neapolitan Camorra. The boss is subject to panic attacks that lead him to the couch of a psychoanalyst, to whom he soon confides his family-related disturbances, especially in the relationship with the terrible character of his mother Livia: his troubles, however, also pass through the complex bond with his wife Carmela (conniving but extraneous to her husband's criminal enterprises), their teenage children, his uncle (father's brother) who does not consider him a boss and opposes him in every way. To these personal problems are added the "work" ones, in which Tony has to juggle the FBI, traitors to his own family and rising bosses of rival families.
