Daisy Ridley is increasingly in demand in the world of cinema. The actress, as reported by the American newspaper Entertainment Weekly, will be the protagonist of the film The Lost Wife.
The young Brit recently gained popularity with her role as Rey in Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.
Daisy is also vying to take on the role of Lara Croft in the reboot of Tomb Rider, the film that helped raise Angelina Jolie's fame.
Ridley is currently filming Star Wars: Episode VIII, which is set to hit US theaters on December 15, 2017.
The Lost Wife - The plot
The film is set in Prague during the Second World War and is based on the book of the same name by Richman Alyson, published in Italy with the title One day only, all my life.

The protagonist is an art student named Lenka. The young woman falls in love with Jonas, her brother's best friend.
The two boys marry shortly before the Nazi occupation, but the situation in the country forces them to separate with the promise to meet again as soon as possible.
Lenka, however, ends up in a concentration camp where she begins to become passionate about art so as not to think about the terrible place in which she finds herself.
The Lost Wife is being produced by Robbie Brenner, Michelle Chydzik Sowa and Jack Wazman. Marc Klein will instead take care of writing the screenplay.
It remains to be decided who will be the director.
