Less than a week before this year's Super Bowl (to be played on February 13), the curiosity for the screening of trailers and films which are usually broadcast before, during and after the game grows more and more.

If last year, due to the pandemic and the limited number of projects that landed in the cinema and on TV, the trailers aired were few, this year things will return to normal.

Of course, even knowing that we will see some more commercials, we cannot be sure of the contents that will be offered to us. We can, however, put forward some hypotheses.

There are numerous films that will be in cinemas or in streaming service catalogs in the coming months. It is not difficult to imagine that we might see some exclusive image of the expected films during next week's Super Bowl.

We must not forget the TV series. In 2017, for example, Netflix released the trailer for the second season of Stranger Things right during the Super Bowl game. We cannot therefore exclude the possibility of seeing our favorite shows promoted, such as the third season of The Boys or the fourth of Stranger Things, both scheduled for the summer of 2022.

Finally, some trailers may not be exclusive. We could in fact review commercials previously published online or broadcast on TV, which would exploit the popular event to capture the attention of a larger number of viewers.

A few days before the final of the National Football League championship, here are the most anticipated trailers.

The Adam Project

The film debut with Ryan Reynolds is set for March 11, 2022. The proximity of the date makes it almost certain to broadcast a trailer dedicated to The Adam Project, the Netflix film in which the character played by Reynolds will travel back in time and meet himself XNUMX years old.

Sonic - The Movie 2

The first trailer for Sonic - Movie 2 was released online last December 2021. Date theatrical release scheduled for April, it is highly likely that new images will be released exclusively during the Super Bowl.

The Lost City

The Lost City, the comedy film starring Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum and Brad Pitt, will hit theaters at the end of April.

As happened with Sonic, too a first trailer for The Lost City was released in December. It seems almost certain that a second will come during the Super Bowl.

Jurassic World: Domination

Universal has always used the Super Bowl's popularity to its advantage, so we expect it won't change strategy too soon. Chances are we'll see a trailer for Jurassic World: Domination, a franchise already advertised during the sporting event in previous years.

Minions 2 - How Gru becomes very bad

On July 2st, the Despicable Me saga will continue in theaters with the highly anticipated Minions 2020 - How Gru Becomes Terrible. The animated film's debut was originally slated for XNUMX, but suffered obvious delays caused by the pandemic. Given the long wait, it is highly likely that we will see a trailer during this year's Super Bowl.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

The film with Benedict Cumberbatch, whose first trailer premiered directly in theaters after the closing credits of Spider-Man: No Way Home, will not be in theaters before May, but it could hold some surprises for us. Seeing a new trailer screened during the Super Bowl is a real possibility.

Moon Knight

The series with Oscar Isaac is expected on Disney + on March 30th. Marvel may be airing a commercial to promote the show during the football final.

A montage of Marvel content for Disney +

Last year, Disney + touted the Marvel series WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki through a single commercial during the Super Bowl, garnering millions of views when the trailer was posted on the streamer's social channels.

This year could do the same, promoting the most anticipated Marvel content of 2022 in a single clip: we could thus see exclusive first images of Moon Knight, She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Secret Invasion, I Am Groot and Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.

Obi-Wan Kenobi

Although filming wrapped five months ago, Obi-Wan Kenobi fans haven't gotten to see anything about the series yet produced by Lucasfilm and Disney.

If it is true, as is assumed, that the series with Ewan McGregor will arrive on the streaming service in May (perhaps the 4th), it is possible that the promotional campaign will begin shortly, perhaps in conjunction with the Super Bowl.

A montage of Star Wars content for Disney +

The 2022 Super Bowl will air just four days before The Book of Boba Fett's season finale.

Disney could use the moment for keep the attention of fans alive with a montage that collects the announced titles belonging to the Star Wars franchise: Andor, The Bad Batch 2 and The Mandalorian 3.

The Lord of the Rings: The rings of power

After publication of 23 promotional posters, Amazon announced an upcoming trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The video in question is expected during the Super Bowl on February 13.

Barring any surprises, Warner Bros, Sony and Apple, traditionally on the bench during the Super Bowl, will continue to do so again this year alongside Hulu and HBO Max who won't release any trailers.
