Marvel vs DC cover: it's war at the Saturn Awards 2022 to decide the best movie

Ai Saturn Awards 2022 on the evening of Friday 12 August 2022, the candidacies for the 50th edition of the event were announced. This is the coveted annual award that is awarded by theAcademy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films to the best works of science fiction, fantasy and horror, related to movies, TV series and home videos.

This time too, there is an open war between the two best known entertainment universes. Marvel Studios gets over 40 nominations for movies and TV series. The film stands out among the top titles Shang-Chi and the legend of the Ten Rings that with 7 applications, it appears to be present in almost all thematic categories; among these are the one for the best soundtrack and the one for the best special effects. To follow for Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures Leads the Spider-Man: No Way Home movie with 9 nominations. Again you compete in many categories related to films, such as those for the best screenplay and for the best editing. It adds up Walt Disney Studios which is no different with 10 nominations for the franchise Star Wars.

On the other hand instead Warner Bros. Pictures gets 5 nominations for the film Dune, and 4 for that of The suicide squad. But the real spearhead is the film The Batman, with 12 nominations exceeding 10 of the "rival" Spider-Man: No Way Home. The Batman unlike Spider-Man: No Way Home, is featured in nearly all themed categories, including Best Costume, Best Soundtrack, Best Art Design, and Best Makeup.

Here is the full list for each category:
