Unofficial films
In addition to the 25 films in the James Bond saga, Prime Video also features two unofficial films not produced by the Broccoli family, who own the rights. The first is 1967's Casino Royale with David Niven as James Bond. This is a comic parody. The other is Never Say Never from 1983: a James Bond film in all respects starring Sean Connery! This film, a remake of 1965's Thunderball, was released in theaters despite the events related to the struggle for rights arising from the fact that the writer and screenwriter Kevin McClory claimed that the story of Thunderball belonged to him. Apparently, he won the legal battle and the Broccoli family, who used the novels of Ian Fleming, also had to give up some characters that appeared in the Thunderball novel, such as, for example, Ersnt Stavro Blofeld. In 2014 the rights were bought back by the company that produces the Bond films, EON, and for this reason SPECTER could also be used.
