The second season of Fate: The Winx Saga was released exclusively for the Netflix streaming platform on September 16, 2022. It is a much loved series that has a loyal audience, and in fact this second season was immediately seen and appreciated by many people. On the site reviews page R it currently has an enviable score of 94 out of 100, which is a really good result. Many viewers have noticed an improvement in the overall quality of Fate: The Winx Saga in its second season. The public can therefore expect season 3?

There is still no news of a possible renewal for the teen fantasy series Fate: The Winx Saga. It is likely that Netflix will want to wait a few more days before expressing itself on the matter. At the moment we can be optimistic, given the interest of the public and the presence of the TV show in the top ten of the most viewed on the streaming platform. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Brian Young talked about what season 3 might be going to deal with. Young has made it clear that there have not yet been contacts with Netflix to negotiate the renewal of the series, but it is evident that the showrunner knows where he wants to take his fairy students, after the closure of season 2.

In the finale of the second season of Fate: The Winx Saga, Beatrix sacrificed herself to save Sky. Sebastian was defeated, but to achieve this victory the group of friends had to leave the Portal of Darkness open. Bloom was forced to cross it to close it, and in a very moving scene she had to say goodbye to her friends of hers. In the Realm of Darkness, Bloom found her mother, whom she believed was dead.

Brian Young stated that he plans to create more environments for the characters to explore in season 3, and about the Realm of Darkness he said:

The goal is to answer the question: what is the Kingdom of Darkness? How are they related to Spider Bloom and his mother? But also how it connects to our general mythology, which was sprinkled here and there throughout the second season.

Young also answered the question: Will there be the Trix trio in Season XNUMX?

We haven't talked about season 3 yet, but it is my firm intention that the Trix trio will be there. This is a central part in the animated series that we always knew we wanted, at some point, on the show. I would say that if we have a third season, expect Icy and Darcy.

Very encouraging statements from showrunner Brian Young, which are sure to please all fans of the Netflix series Fate: The Winx Saga. There may be new announcements on this show at the Netflix event TUDUM 2022, on September 24th.
